Elementary School

Led by experienced teachers, the Elementary School's curriculum cultivates a remarkable place for children to learn and grow.

We embrace a philosophy that inspires the development of each learner at their own individually remarkable pace while providing rich hands-on opportunities to learn academics.

At Wilkinson School, our young learners are encouraged to expand their curiosity, develop their critical thinking skills, learn to communicate and solve problems effectively and develop their talents, while feeling safe and secure in a school that helps foster their social-emotional growth.

Students receive visits from specialists in Physical Education, Art, Music, Science, Spanish, Creativity and Garden Science & Nutrition, where flexible and outdoor classroom spaces often inspire cross-disciplinary explorations.

The small size of our school fosters a tight-knit school community of children, teachers, staff and families, as well as an intimate learning environment.

Our low student teacher ratio and co-teaching model allows our teachers to craft each child's educational journey and support each child every step of the way.

Collaborative lessons, celebrations, and activities between grade levels begin with our youngest students and this diverse classroom environment inspires further opportunities for deeper learning and strengthens our community. Younger students are able to interact, relate, collaborate with and learn from students in middle school and other grades through ongoing hikes, reading buddy opportunities, cooking activities, engineering challenges, arts and crafts, school wide “family” projects and more. Through these opportunities, the younger children have older role models and develop  friendships that last throughout their years at Wilkinson School.
